How does Kybella work?
Kybella is comprimsed of a synthetic Deoxycholic acid, a substance which is naturally occurring in the body. The liver produces deoxycholic acid to break down and absorb the fat we consume. When Kybella is used under the chin, the submental fat is destroyed when the fat cells burst. Once this occurs, the fat cells can no longer accumulate fat and therefore a permanent reduction of fat!
How many treatments of Kybella do you need?
The fullness of the chin can vary. Mild to moderate levels of submental fat can take 2-4 treatments whereas moderate to severe levels can take 4-6 treatments. The number of treatment will also be determined by the desired aesthetic outcome.
